Welcome to Rita Morris Western Art!

For over 25 years, Rita Morris has devoted her time, study, and talent to doing what she loves - capturing scenes of the western way of life, both past and present on canvas. Her oil paintings combine formal training and continuous research with God-given ability.  Rita's work hangs in galleries, and in private and corporate collections.

Rita is honored to be a Signature Member of American Plains Artists.  The APA was organized in 1982, by a small group of artists to highlight through their art, the variety found in the vast region known as the American Plains.  As you will see in Rita's work, this is a subject that is near and dear to her and has been since her earliest days as an artist.

Featured below is Back Into the Pines, which was sold in the First Strike Friday Night Auction, at the annual show and exhibition by the Charles Russell Museum.
